The Moon and her mother

Long, long, long ago the moon wanted a coat, a new coat.

So one day she said to her mother, "Please, please make me a coat. I want a pretty one, one that fits me well."

Her mother laughed and laughed. The she looked at her and said, "On, my moon, moon, little new moon, I can not ever make a coat that fits you well."

"One night you are tiny new moon, the next night you are a half moon. And then another night you are a big full moon."

"Your mother can not make a coat that will fit a tiny new moon, a half moon and a big full moon"

So the poor moon goes without a coat to this day.
